Palmetto Community Action Partnership, the Community Action Agency serving Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties is currently accepting appointments for the following programs. Please note, we also serve residents of Beaufort and Jasper Counties for the Weatherization Program ONLY. Eligibility for all programs is subject to program calendars, fund availability, appointment availability, verifiable household income and family size.
Within minutes of making your appointment, you should receive a confirmation email with a calendar appointment attached to the email. In addition, you will also receive a phone reminder the day before your appointment.

The Weatherization Assistance Program installs, at no cost, energy conservation measures to income qualified households. Measures include but not limited to insulation, air sealing, duct sealing, CFL light bulbs, HWH insulation, pipe installation, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and air ventilation. This program does not install roofs or major repairs.
The Employment & Education Program includes but is not limited to the following services: Childcare (which includes before and after school care) for working parents, Work Support for working clients, Tuition Assistance (which includes basic training to advance marketing skills for employment, college, certification and license exams, and textbooks). In order to participate in one or more of these programs, it is Mandatory to schedule an in-depth telephone screening.
